Elite surgical training

Dr Leonard Tachmes received his Bachelor of Science from Duke University. He then earned his MD from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.

Fellowship and Residency Training

His surgical training included some of the most respected programmes in American medicine. He completed a fellowship in Plastic Surgery of the Breast and Reconstructive Microsurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Memorial Sloan Kettering is one of the world’s leading institutions for surgical oncology and reconstruction.

Following this, he completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospital. Earlier training included a general surgery residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in New York. He also completed a surgical internship at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York.

Together, these programmes gave him a foundation in core surgical disciplines that underpins his aesthetic work today.
